The Band (core)

Alex ‘Daddy’ Wonk is the band. He’s the creative drive and man behind the band. Lead singer, guitarist (and part time bassist), poet, musician, stage performer and author. Known up and down the land of punk, loved by (nearly) everyone.
Vez – Keys and vocals and some lyrics. Vez is an amazing human being and her vocals have helped lift the recent album to new heights.
Max – Drums. Max has his own hardcore band ‘Sid’ which blew Alex away.
Pwosion – Bass. UK Parkour champion (in our own twisted minds only), and a leader to many. Been with the band longer than her cares to remember!
AJ – shredding guitar and part time bass, and devistating smile.
Jude – Alex’s nephew and absolute stunning musician.

Our Music

Hard to pigeon-hole, it’s DIY post punk with optimism and a little anger. From love balads to power punk thrashers, Wonk Unit aren’t scared to cross genres. Always highly original and entertaining.

Our Shows

Wonk Unit are a continually touring band, travelling across the UK, Europe, and even a USA tour in 2015. We have played as a 1 or 2 piece acoustic, up to a six piece wall of sound (including trombone & keys).

Supported Teenage Bottlerocket on their 2015 UK Tour. Toured with the Raging Nathans on our 2015 USA Tour, with an appearance at “The Fest”. Toured with Slaves on their biggest ever UK Tour in 2015.
