Daddy Wonk and Plaster records are chuffed to bring you the fantastic Tales of Interest album by The Dopamines.
In my not so humble opinion the Dopamines are one of the greatest punk bands ever. When I first discovered their album “Expect the Worst” I realised that I’d already been hearing them on playlists at shows all over the world. There’s something just “different” about the Dopamines, gets me right in the heart. It’s abit like hearing Mush by Leatherface for the first time, like you’re somehow hearing the truth.
We got to play with them at Blind Bob’s in Dayton Ohio thanks to Raging Nathans/Dopamines/Rad Girlfriend Records guitar dong Josh Goldman. I remember hearing their song Business Papers there for the first time (I recorded it on my phone and uploaded it to YouTube), I was so blown away by their genius. Seems like another lifetime ago now.
I had money at the time and had recently started Plasterer Records. I jumped at the chance to do a UK pressing. We pressed the album on both green and blue vinyl.
Am genuinely honoured to present this record to the UK scene.
This band are special, I don’t say that about many artists.
